Nutfield is committed to providing high quality products in a timely fashion. Every Nutfield product passes through a rigorous set of testing throughout the build process. Test results for every galvanometer and scan head are recorded in a Device History Record along with the product’s serial number. All Open Frame and Packaged Scan Heads are rigorously exercised over night and then must pass a battery of final QC tests including the creation of actual witness marks. A hard copy and computer entry is filed for each device record and can be recalled and queried at a later date. Computer data is accumulated and monitored to check Statistical Process Control, ensuring that product quality is tracking within acceptable boundaries.

Nutfield has well established test equipment including an optical comparator microscope with resolution down to the sub-micron level, an automated, programmable thermal chamber capable of ramping from -40° C to 100° C, high resolution encoders for drift and accuracy measurements and life test racks for long-term life testing.
