QS-12-OPD Galvanometer with Optical Position Detector

QS-12-OPD moving magnet galvanometers offer strong performance and value for steering 10mm, 15mm, and 20mm aperture galvo mirrors. Our groundbreaking optical position detector design enables an unsurpassed combination of high-linearity and low-drift required for high-precision applications. When integrated with our QD-4000 servo-amplifier, QS-12-OPD galvo-based single- and multi-axis scanning sub-assemblies provide excellent speed and accuracy in compact, affordable configurations.

QS-12-OPD galvos are primarily offered as components of scanning subsystems, such as:

  • Single-axis scan sets – include galvo with mounted mirror, servo-amplifier, and cable set. These are used for single-axis beam steering.
  • Open-frame 2-axis scan heads – These are used for steering beams in X/Y, often where there is no desire to focus the beam to a small spot.
  • Packaged 2-axis and 3-axis scan heads – These are used for beam steering in X/Y or X/Y/Z for applications where a scanned beam is focused to a small spot at the work.
  • Fiber laser scan kits – when matched with certain fiber lasers, Nutfield Fiber Laser Scan Kits provide items necessary to integrate a laser-scanning engine. The kit streamlines the integration process, and provides support & service benefits of a single point of contact for the scanning subassembly.
